Through taking up our popular Hire Purchase package, developers get the installation and equipment free of charge and the resident gets service of the equipment for the life of the contract.
The contract is with the managing agent who agrees to collect the rent as part of the annual service charge. On report of a fault to the management company, AWS send a service engineer to access rectify, repair, or replace free of charge. Average hire charge is £15 per flat per month for 15 years.
Standard Terms of Hire
In consideration of payment of annual rental charge for hire of equipment AWS shall supply install and maintain equipment during the hire period.
Customer shall pay the Rental Charge annually in advance upon delivery by AWS of its invoice 28 days.
AWS agrees to respond promptly to any request by a customer for repair renewal and rectification of equipment provided that access to equipment is available during normal working hours. In the case of emergency AWS will endeavour to act promptly; but gives no warranty or guarantee that it shall.
Risk of damage to or loss of equipment will pass to the customer when it is brought onto the premises in which it is to be installed.
Title in the equipment shall pass to the customer at the end of the Hire Period provided that the payment of the rental charge for the entire term of the agreement has been made in full.
