We’ve been really busy installing automated gates for our clients across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex and North London. So far this summer we’ve installed 12 of our mechanised gate systems as part of making our clients’ lives easier and streamline their property.
People choose to upgrade to electric gates for a number of reasons. Firstly, they increase the safety and security of your property, particularly if you have children or pets who need restricted access out onto the road. They’re also really convenient; at the push of a button, you can access your property without having to get out of the car. Did you know that automated gates also add value and appeal to your home, making it look its very best and adding to its overall worth?
If you’re considering an automatic gate you also need to give thought to whether a sliding or swing gate best suits your needs. If you have limited space, a rising driveway or a wide driveway opening then a sliding gate is the way forward. It allows the driveway to be totally clear when open and maximises your parking space. Conversely, if both your property and driveway have the necessary space to accommodate a swing gate then this could be the solution for you.
We’ve also been working on lots of apartment complexes… Automated gates allow their residents to feel more secure both in their homes and when leaving their cars outside the property. It also gives them more control over who can access the flats, as with our intercom systems.
“But what if I really like my gate?!” we hear you cry!
Never fear. Here at AWS Access, we can sometimes automate an existing gate relatively easily. Most gates can be modified to be motorised with gate openers. This is ideal if your gate is designed to complement your property or fencing or if you’re working on a restricted budget.
With gate power, comes gate responsibility…
If you automate your gate it has become a machine in the eyes of the law and is regulated by the machinery directive. We specify and fit the appropriate safety devices to ensure your new motorised gate is compliant with legal standards.
Want to take your new automated gate a step further?
We give you the option to install a ground loop with all automated gates. This is an induction cable laid beneath the surface of your driveway. As someone approaches the gate to leave your property, it magnetically detects the presence of a vehicle above and sends a signal to the control panel to open the gates. You may have seen tar lines at traffic lights – these are concealing ground loops that tell the light sensors that a car is waiting!
Our prices start at £3500 and we can also install intercoms, television cabling, satellites and aerials.
